Greenpeace Netherlands leaks fresh TiSA texts
Better and more comprehensive transparency – these are core demands of civil society organisations in the debate surrounding free trade agreements. Yet, TiSA, along with CETA and TTIP, is an example of how free trade agreements are negotiated behind closed doors. In May and in September 2016, Greenpeace Netherlands released secret negotiation documents of the TTIP and TiSA trade deals. We have done so to provide much needed transparency and trigger an informed debate on the treaty. These deals are threatening to have far reaching implications for the environment and the lives of more than two billion citizens globally.
